Legacy Live Web (Pty) Ltd is permitted to revise these Terms at any time as it sees fit, and by using this Website, you are expected to review these Terms on a regular basis.
The Site provides information about our Apprenticeship Programme and allows you to submit an application.
Application: To apply, you must complete the application form, providing accurate, current, and complete information. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the Programme.
Selection: We will review applications and select participants at our sole discretion. We may consider factors such as your submitted application, your portfolio (CV/LinkedIn), and your alignment with the Programme’s goals.
No Guarantee: We do not guarantee that all applicants will be selected. All selection decisions are final.
By applying, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Accurate Information: You warrant that all information provided in your application (including personal details, experience, and motivations) is true and accurate.
Programme Commitment: If selected, you commit to attending and participating fully in the Programme for its entire duration (as specified on the Site, e.g., “Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm, 1-19 December”).
Programme Purpose: You understand the Programme is designed for “creative entrepreneurs” seeking a freelance career in partnership with Legacy Live, and not as preliminary training for employment elsewhere.
If you are accepted into the Programme:
Nature of Work: The Programme involves hands-on work, including building real websites for actual clients under the mentorship and guidance of Legacy Live.
Confidentiality: You may be exposed to sensitive information related to Legacy Live, its mentors, and its clients. You agree to maintain the strict confidentiality of all such information and not to disclose it to any third party without our prior written consent.
Intellectual Property: You agree that all work, content, code, and designs you create during the Programme as part of your hands-on client work (“Work Product”) shall be the property of Legacy Live or its clients. You may be permitted to use images or descriptions of the Work Product for your personal portfolio, subject to our prior written approval and any client-related confidentiality restrictions.
Assessment: At the conclusion of the Programme, participants will be assessed for eligibility to “benefit from formal partnership with Legacy Live.”
No Guarantee of Partnership: Your participation in and completion of the Programme does not guarantee you will be offered a partnership. This decision is at the sole discretion of Legacy Live.
Separate Agreement: Any future partnership or freelance arrangement offered to qualifying participants will be governed by a separate, legally binding Partnership or Independent Contractor Agreement. These Terms do not govern that future relationship.
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You may not:
Use the Site in any way that violates any applicable national or international law.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to, interfere with, or damage any parts of the Site or its server.
Knowingly introduce any viruses, trojan horses, worms, or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful.
No Guarantee of Success: We make no warranties or representations about the success of the Programme or the likelihood of a future partnership. We do not guarantee any specific outcome, income, or career advancement from participating in the Programme.
“As Is” Basis: The Site and the Programme are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Legacy Live, its mentors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site or participation in the Programme.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of these Terms or the Programme shall be instituted exclusively in the courts of South Africa.
